Miso soup is awesome here compared to many places. If they added mushrooms it would be the best miso I ever had. Craftsmanship of the rolls is poor and rolled extremely loose. Too much cream cheese, imitation crab taste funny. The sashimi was the best thing they had. This place has a lot of potential to be great.

My mom's favorite japanese place. Their sashimi cuts are thicker and bigger than usual. The rolls are also bigger than the usual expensive places. The tempura was nice and crunchy and had a good light batter. It didn't look like prepackaged tempura from the store. Prices are fair. Went on a Saturday afternoon and we didn't have to wait for a table for 4. Definitely recommend.

We got an order to go, and I was very disappointed with my experience at Darumaya. After just a couple of bites of my sushi, my stomach started hurting, which immediately made me uncomfortable about continuing my meal. We most definitely spent $42 and still felt unsatisfied with the amount and quality of food we received. Given this experience, I believe management should reach out to address these concerns and consider offering some form of compensation for the inconvenience. The spicy edamame had very little flavor, and the rainbow roll was honestly one of the worst sushi rolls I've had. It was dry, bland, and lacked the fresh taste I expected. The California roll wasn't much better—the filling had an overwhelming mayonnaise-like taste that completely overpowered everything else. I also ordered seaweed salad, and it didn't taste right either. Overall, the food lacked flavor and freshness, and I left feeling unsatisfied and disappointed. Based on this experience, I would not return or recommend it to others.

They have a good deal where you get 2 rolls for $19 but the selection is a little limited compared to other sushi places that have a similar deal. Simple, clean, and open atmosphere which is an upgrade from what it was before. They could definitely use some help with the customer service aspect, the asian lady is rude and never smiles. I've been here a few times now and every time it seems like she's having a bad day. The other girls that work there are great have way better customer service, they should train her on how to smile once in a while.

We found this little gem by mistake. After so many years living in Beaumont/Banning area and seeing this place I decided to finally walk in and give this place a try. This place is very small but very nicely decorated and has some really good Japanese food. Their sushi is always fresh and the ramen is delicious. What's better then all of this you ask? There prices used to be unbeatable. $10.99 will get you a large bowl of ramen and a California roll. (Update) Due to inflation since I first reviewed tis place in 2018 the Ramen combo is now $18.95 in 2025. I think I have found my new favorite sushi place in the Beaumont/Banning area. In a way I didnt want to give this place such good reviews because I didnt want it to get overly crowded for such a small place but I had to recommend it to everyone.
